Rocco Mondelli is shocked to discover that his late grandfather didn’t leave him a controlling interest in the family’s business.  He is also disheartened to learn that his grandfather had been keeping a mistress young enough to be his granddaughter!  However, Rocco soon finds that the young woman is super-model Olivia Fitzgerald, and she doesn’t want anyone to know who she is or why she skipped out on a very lucrative contract.  Olivia Fitzgerald has her own demons to ward off and fighting an attraction to the handsome playboy isn’t helping things.  Wanting only to realize her dreams and seeing that she doesn’t have another option, she agrees to the proposal that Rocco presents her with at the risk of losing herself.  Will Rocco and Olivia find that sometimes the price of fulfilling their dreams is too great, or will they push on to achieve their goals?

The Italian’s Deal for I Do is an emotional tale that pushes the protagonists to work through their issues and truly trust each other before attainting their HEA.

Rocco was the typical jump-to-conclusions Hero, but he wasn’t too prideful to issue that apology when it was called for in The Italian’s Deal for I Do.  Olivia was amusing when she teased Rocco about things that he completely denied.  Placing him in the hot seat just added to the foreplay between the two of them in The Italian’s Deal for I Do.  The troubles that Olivia went through seemed quite plausible, and I felt that Rocco was truly there to hold her hand as she navigated her way through them.  Rocco and Olivia learned quite a lot on their road to HEA in The Italian’s Deal for I Do, and it was gratifying when they completed their tasks.  I found that there was some symmetry in both Rocco’s and Olivia’s tasks, as well.  Hindrances were placed in both their paths, but they had to choose what was more important in order to see things through.  They seemed to realize that sometimes they would have to give up things in order to move forward in The Italian’s Deal for I Do, and this seemed to fully evolve their characters, too.

Princess of Surhaadi, Leila, is determined to break from the oppressive pall that has covered her family for the past sixteen years! Forcing a confrontation, revealing a truth that Leila has long suspected, she runs away….and into the arms of a willing stranger!

James Chatsfield believes that the beauty is up to some media coverage subterfuge for a competitor, but he can’t help being drawn to her. Unable to turn down what she is clearly offering, James falls for her and discovers some things that Leila failed to mention!  Attempting to contact her again, he finds his way blocked, and he is soon headed off to forget her.  However, when the news reveals something she should have, James wastes no time to right the wrongs of the past.

Princess’s Secret Baby grabbed on to the reader from the start with the dark ominous truths revealed in the opening pages.  The tale couldn’t maintain that darkness throughout the pages though, as Princess’s Secret Baby would have been a terribly depressing story.  Carol Marinelli knew what she was doing when she developed James as he completely embodied a romance hero in Princess’s Secret Baby.  Sure, he had some failings, one that was glaring and a little off putting, but it wasn’t in your face, and I tried hard to overlook it, because he did have a point for his actions.

Leila was a complete and utter innocent in more ways than one and that was hard to swallow in Princess’s Secret Baby, however, she did come from a completely different background.   James worked hard to win Leila, and I felt that she probably should have let him off the hook in one area that truly wasn’t his fault, but I don’t think she knew that he blamed himself for that in Princess’s Secret Baby.

In the end, Princess’s Secret Baby is a part of a series, however, there was something that wasn’t completely wrapped up or explained about things that occurred in Princess’s Secret Baby.  I’m afraid that in order to garner that information, one would have to read Leila’s brother’s story Sheikh’s Desert Duty.

Attending a ten year class reunion, BFF Tyler Dixon and Amelia Kennedy elope.  After a fabulous one night, busy businessman Tyler is off jet-setting and Amelia returns to real life.  Attempting contact with her errant hubby to obtain their quickie divorce, Amelia discovers something life changing!  Tyler isn’t so easily persuaded to give his BFF a divorce. Now he wants to try to hang on to what they’ve got and make a go of it.  However, Amelia sees things differently, but she agrees to a trial period of one month.  Will Tyler be able to convince Amelia that they have what it takes, will she even buy it, or will these two lose more than their matrimonial state?

Andrea Laurence’s stories always seem to have something more going on below the surface and Thirty Days to Win His Wife is no exception.  Ms. Laurence delves deeper into the characters and doesn’t fail to disappoint.

Tyler and Amelia seemed perfectly matched in Thirty Days to Win His Wife, but Amelia had some other plan wrote for her HEA.  It’s a plan that she hadn’t fully explored as she only saw things from the “perfect” side, and she wasn’t willing to realize that that beautiful image had some hardships along the way in Thirty Days to Win His Wife.

Amelia saw what she believed was Tyler getting his way in all things, but she hadn’t seen that there is another side to that image, and a secondary character opened her eyes to that truth in Thirty Days to Win His Wife.

At times I found it hard to like Amelia, because Tyler was just so wonderfully fabulous—all that and a bag of chips, too!  He has Amelia’s number, and he pushes her some in Thirty Days to Win His Wife, but when he thinks all is lost, he clears the field.  Tyler doesn’t give up without a fight, and he intends to win this round to achieve their HEA in Thirty Days to Win His Wife!

Cesare Sabatino wants to please his grandmother.  However, the only way to give her a bit of her past is to marry one of the young women whose family currently holds the deed to an island that his grandmother grew up on.  Cesare never intended on marrying, but a marriage of convenience to get what he wants for another seems ideal to this arrogant man.  Imagine his surprise when the dirt poor “farm-girl” turns him down!

Lizzie Whitaker has never felt that she measured up to anyone’s standards.  It didn’t help that her fiancé left her for another after claiming she was cold in the touchy feely area.  Resigning herself to just getting on with what needs to be done, Lizzie never planned on having a man in her life, just supporting her younger sister and working the farm.  When a billionaire out of nowhere shows up offering her the world, Lizzie quickly turns him down.  However, she soon finds that she can make more people happy if she just sacrifices a little bit of her life.  Besides, it’s not as if she can respond to the handsome fellow and fall in love, right?

Lynne Graham is consistently fabulous and The Billionaire’s Bridal Bargain didn’t disappoint, either!

The Billionaire’s Bridal Bargain was NOT a blackmail-her-to-get-what-he-wants read, but a straight forward this-is-the-plan kind of tale, and I thoroughly enjoyed it.  Cesare was honest with Lizzie from the start, but he did harbor some beliefs about her that he found were erroneous mid-way through The Billionaire’s Bridal Bargain.  He wasn’t mean to her in regards to his belief, but he just felt that given her acquiescence, she may run that way in The Billionaire’s Bridal Bargain.

There was a bit of angst attached to The Billionaire’s Bridal Bargain towards the end, but from Lizzie’s point of view and her thoughts of Cesare, it wasn’t hard to see why she felt that way.  However, Cesare always seemed to be upfront with Lizzie and I completely bought his explanation to her.  I also loved the advice that Cesare got from a secondary character in The Billionaire’s Bridal Bargain towards the end of the story.  Best advice EVER!!

Paige Fielding had deeply betrayed Giancarlo Alessi ten years ago.  When Giancarlo discovered she was working for his celebrity mother, he was thrown for a loop.  However, he is determined to reap some sort of revenge from Paige, and he intends to do so on his terms.  Paige never had the chance to explain herself to her one true love, and when he enacts his plot, she is still unable to delve into the reasons behind her causing him pain. Soon, events play out that cause Giancarlo to question the character of Paige once again, but this time will he look deeper than the surface or react without questioning her again?

At the Count’s Bidding was a page-turning, sizzling hot read that had me wondering what Giancarlo would attempt to force on Paige as he pushed the envelope in At the Count’s Bidding!

At the story began, I found myself siding with Giancarlo, because even Paige admitted to herself that she had betrayed him, but she kept it all a mystery as At the Count’s Bidding unfolded.  Reading about Giancarlo’s ideas for revenge, which bordered on slightly sexy, added to the drama in this tale.  At the Count’s Bidding soon had me rooting for Paige before the halfway mark though the story.  She was just too sweet and likeable to not have had a good reason to betray Giancarlo years ago.  Knowing Giancarlo’s thoughts, and the fact that he was punishing himself as much as Paige, made At the Count’s Bidding even more enjoyable.  As the story progressed, his reasons for feeling betrayed came to light, and I found myself empathizing with him, too.

Both Giancarlo and Paige had good reasons for the choices that they made in the past as well as the present in At the Count’s Bidding.  I know at times it felt that Paige might be behaving as a doormat to Giancarlo, but she had a heavy dose of guilt that had plagued her for ten years and things that she never truly got to smooth over from their previous relationship.  However, when Giancarlo pushes too far, and Paige finds that there is no redemption for her, she is willing to let things lie in At the Count’s Bidding.  Giancarlo wasn’t content with leaving things that way, and he discovered some truths as well, so he looks for another confrontation with Paige in At the Count’s Bidding.  I have to say that confrontation was fabulously wonderful and made me think about a few things that Paige was right upon.  I also found that because of that scene, it threw At the Count’s Bidding into a Joyfully Recommended read category, and I still find myself rereading that scene from time to time!
