Shay Walker likes to hold herself apart from others, never fully opening herself to anyone or anything.  She even manages to not completely reveal herself to her many students that she tutors.  However, a chance encounter with a stranger at a bar, who becomes more than a one-night stand, soon has her dealing with things from her past and desperately trying to fill the cracks her walls are revealing.

Jason “Jace” Jennings doesn’t know how to connect to anyone, especially his teenage daughter who has only him to depend upon after the death of her mother, Jace’s ex-wife.  Maintaining his control over his feelings, he is shocked to discover the identity of his one-night stand, and so he scrambles to remedy the situation of both his daughter’s attractive tutor as well as the care of his daughter. Will Shay and Jace realize that making one another lose control is just what they need to find their HEA, or will they stick with the easy route and walk away?

Make Me Lose Control is a baggage filled, heartwarming read, that completely touched me as Shay and Jace navigated their way through their tale.  I found several scenes that somehow reached out and grabbed me, showing that some innocuous events from the past have a lasting effect on an individual’s future.  Make Me Lose Control even proved the point that an individual tends to remember the bad more than the good of situations.

The author’s voice in Make Me Lose Control was light and fun loving as each character was thoroughly fleshed out.  Jace and Shay seemed well rounded and approachable, as though they were everyday people with their own problems trying to navigate this wide big world in Make Me Lose Control.  On the surface, it seemed that Jace and Shay weren’t so different, but I completely enjoyed the fact that their circumstances, though not the same, managed to shape some of their perspectives and protective natures the way that they did.  It was as though there was different ways to end up with the same results in Make Me Lose Control.  I also felt that there were similarities between Shay and Jace’s daughter that enabled her to connect with her the way that she did in this story.

Make Me Lose Control is a story that came across as completely realistic in its characters, and the shaping of them with their baggage from the past, that it managed to tug several tears from this reader.  Because of the heart-tugging believability of Make Me Lose Control, I Joyfully Recommend this tale!

Giorgios Letsos had a mistress before he married; however, she was not suitable for marriage to this billionaire.  He offered to keep her on as his mistress, and his new wife didn’t mind at all.  Yet, Billie had wised up and walked away as she was not about to be a kept woman for this man!  Giorgios had never gotten over Billie, who was the only woman who had ever walked away from him.  He had been searching for her and now that he is divorced, he means to locate the tantalizing woman and pick up where they had left off. Billie has other plans, and more to protect than just her fragile heart.  She knows she should have been more forthcoming with the handsome Greek, but she didn’t want to be the other woman: she wanted to be The Only One!

The Secret His Mistress Carried was classical Lynne Graham with a bit of a contemporary softening up for this Alpha Hero.  I got that Giorgios couldn’t understand Billie’s point of view in their relationship before, but he tried to see things differently over the course of The Secret His Mistress Carried.  I didn’t agree with Billie keeping her secret from Giorgios, and she knew she was wrong, but I felt that she made a point with her understanding of things in their previous relationship.

I enjoyed the little tidbits that Ms. Graham added to The Secret His Mistress Carried to fully flesh out Giorgios and Billie, as well as their stances on their differing viewpoints.

The secondary “villain” character in The Secret His Mistress Carried could’ve been fleshed out more, but then there isn’t ever really enough pages in these stories to give all characters a voice.  Do I like that the h in these tales always gives in so quickly to the male’s touch?  No, but then someone has to relent some in order to continue the story.  Girogios did go so far as to look for Billie in The Secret His Mistress Carried, rather than saying good riddance and keeping his pride intact.

Lynne Graham established two completely different personalities for Giorgios and Billie, and they were both at loggerheads at different times in The Secret His Mistress Carried.  However, they soon learned that they could maintain their individual identities while learning to lean on one another and respect the other’s view.

Gabriel Cabrera is an emotionally, lazy playboy who doesn’t have to fight for any woman that he’s interested in pursuing.  Business is all that matters to him, the only thing that he truly fights for in the end.  However, he soon finds that his capable secretary is inspiring unfamiliar feelings in him, and he’s not quite sure how to handle them.  Alice Morgan had Gabriel pegged from day one.  She didn’t want anything to do with a man that fit the mold that her father set long ago.  She refuses to open herself up to the possibility!  However, Alice soon finds she needs to rethink her rules regarding her boss, and realize that her preconceived notions are not the standard to which all men should be judged.

To Sin with the Tycoon is a delicious boss/secretary romance that pushes the boundaries and tests the rules set by the participants.  I completely enjoyed the fact that any set rules that Gabriel or Alice had about the other needed to be readjusted as they pushed through their perimeters in To Sin with the Tycoon.

To Sin with the Tycoon had a few witty pieces of dialogue between Gabriel and Alice as they discovered more about each other.  However, I found there were long instances of inner ramblings that had me turning back the pages to pick up the thread of the characters dialogue and this tended to hamper the flow of To Sin with the Tycoon.

I liked that Alice and Gabriel had to grow and realize that not all situations and people should be judged by what they experienced, or assumed from situations early on in their lives in To Sin with the Tycoon.  Their road to HEA was a choppy one, but ultimately romantic.  When they realized where they stood in To Sin with the Tycoon and they took that leap of faith, I found that the extra mile that Gabriel was willing to go incredibly sweet.

Giancarlo “Gianni” Delucca wants to repair the damage the family name, and so he seeks to align himself with a company that will take his worldwide.  Gianni only has to agree to marry the daughter to gain access to the O’Connor holdings.  He thought it seemed simple, and he even allowed Keelin O’Connor the opportunity to opt out of the deal.  However, Keelin will do “almost” anything to show her father that she is capable of stepping into the family business, but she won’t readily go down the aisle to meet the opportunist Giancarlo Delucca.  She also won’t be the one to call a halt to the nuptials, so instead she must convince him that not marrying would be in his best interest.  Yet, Giancarlo isn’t at the top of his game for nothing, and he soon sees through her charade, but will he truly see it all?

Delucca’s Marriage Contract is a sizzling contemporary read, with two strong leads that kept the pages moving to discover what they would get up to next.

I enjoyed the deception that Keelin enlisted, and it was really hot that Gianni was smart enough to see the depths Keelin hid as they learned to negotiate their way in Delucca’s Marriage Contract.  I appreciated the fact that Gianni wasn’t willing to blackmail Kellin into marriage, but allowed her an out even though it was virtually not really feasible for her.  I liked that Gianni was just trying to be a good guy, and prove he was worthy of more than what his father left him with in Delucca’s Marriage Contract as it was a noble endeavor.  I also found it slightly amusing what Keelin attempted in order to gain her own way in Delucca’s Marriage Contract, but I felt that she was outgunned and outmaneuvered in the end.  Keelin was correct that in order for Gianni to gain what he wanted she had to give up something for herself, and I still felt that it was her caving to him in the end of Delucca’s Marriage Contract.  I didn’t think that Gianni showed how far he was willing to go, but instead we were told after he knew for sure where he stood in DeLucca’s Marriage Contract.
