Alice Appleton has a dark past she would like to keep there. Her current life is quiet and predictable just the way she wants it. There is only one complication and that is her sexy-as-sin neighbor. He inspires desires she thought were gone forever.

Detective Reece Bareden came close to losing it all but his neighbor saved the day. Now he wants to learn more about the quiet Alice. The more time he spends around Alice the more he wants to uncover everything about the sweet nymph. But will he like what he discovers about her?

Alice finds trouble and Reece is willing to do anything to keep this woman safe but will she let him? If Reece and Alice hope to find a happily ever after they will both have to Bare It All.

Lori Foster’s Bare It All is contemporary romance at its best! Sexy-as hell-hero? Check. Sweet but haunted heroine? Check. A thrilling plot? Check. Mix them all together and you get a guaranteed afternoon of edge of your seat enjoyment.

I absolutely love the fact that Ms. Foster gave Alice a bigger story. I first met Alice in the Men Who Walk the Edge of Honor series. It was great to find Alice happy and to watch her fall in love with Reece. I really love Reece! The way he treats Alice is so special and will make the readers fall in love with this couple.

Alice’s story arc is so great in this novel. She really surprised me by how strong she has become. The moments between Alice and Reece are so wonderful. I really became immersed in this novel from page one. I simply couldn’t put it down. Bare It All is a first-class romance and you don’t want to miss out!

Successful photo journalist Natalie Jones is suffering from a rare genetic disorder that causes vision loss. The day when she becomes totally blind is getting closer. A day at the farmer’s market while documenting the life of Plainville through her lens, Natalie witnesses far more than she even knows. Unfortunately, on that day pain struck and her vision was changed forever. Now all she can see are grey shadows and that makes it harder to protect herself when someone puts a target on her.

Special Agent Liam “Mac” Mackenzie is on the trail of a murderer. The clues lead him directly to the doorstep of the beautiful Natalie Jones. After she is attacked it becomes clear that she is somehow involved in his case. Mac can’t seem to control himself around the photographer. He is drawn to her in a visceral way. Never before has Mac felt the need to possess and protect so fiercely. Mac’s number one job is to find a murderer but protecting Natalie is rapidly becoming more important. While protecting his vulnerable witness he discovers more about the case and himself.

As Mac and Natalie search for clues as to why she was targeted, they get closer to a killer. Will Mac be able to protect Natalie from a killer she can’t see? Will Mac and Natalie find love while attempting to stay one step ahead of a killer?

Virna DePaul does an excellent job of creating vulnerable characters and enthralling plotlines in Shades of Desire. I love that Natalie is a blind woman not yet comfortable with her condition. Most novels that I have read where the hero or heroine is blind they are already acclimated to their condition, but here Natalie is still dealing with her feelings about becoming blind and she is learning how to live in the world as a blind person. I found this all very interesting and when you throw in the danger, it creates great dramatic tension.

There is excellent chemistry in Shades of Desire between Natalie and Mac. The reader can feel all of Natalie’s senses as she takes in Mac and her attraction to him becomes heady. I love the emotions that Mac goes through in the story. He isn’t keen on settling down after a bad previous relationship but you can feel the pull when he is around Natalie. These two balance each other extremely well.

Another thing Shades of Desire does really well is build up the secondary characters! I cannot wait to learn more about the other members of Mac’s team the Special Investigatiions Group. All of these characters are likable and sparked quite a bit of chemistry among themselves. I am eagerly anticipating what happens next!
Not only does Shades of Desire have outstanding characters but it also has one heck of a mysterious plotline. Ms. DePaul created palpable tension with her nefarious evil doers in Shades of Desire. I was disturbed and intrigued with her bad guys and I couldn’t wait to unravel the evil plot hidden in the shadows!

Shades of Desire is a modern love story built on rock-solid characters and plum writing skills! I will be anxiously waiting for the next Special Investigations Group novel!

Paige Walker has been in love with Jake since the moment she met him at the tender age of 17 in her hospital room.  He is the only person who does not treat her as a fragile being due to her medical condition.  Every since Jake’s rejection on her 18th birthday, Paige has convinced herself that Jake is nothing more than a friend.  Unbeknownst to Paige, Jake made a promise to his best friend/Paige’s brother that he would never become romantically involved with her.

Up until now, Jake Romano has managed to reign in his desire to pursue Paige.  But working with her on a daily basis is testing his limits and slowing breaking down the wall he has successfully managed to keep between them.  What begins as a way to give Paige and her friends a big break with starting their own company has now turned into a secret “sex only” affair between Jake and Paige.

Will Paige be able to convince Jake that love is worth the risk or will Jake end things before Paige can claim his heart?

Sleepless in Manhattan is an engaging tale that I did not want to end.  From start to finish, I was completely captivated by the element of Paige and Jake’s love affair.  The storyline is intriguing and has various moments of surprising occurrences which only added more fuel to the fire.  The secondary characters (Paige’s two best friends) are well developed and offer great build-up for exciting storylines to come.  Combined with the mega-hot sexual tension between Paige and Jake, Sleepless in Manhattan is the perfect romantic read that will pull at your heartstrings with the turn of each page.  I highly recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading a passion-filled romance with remarkable characters and a superb plot.  I cannot wait for the remaining two stories within this splendid trilogy.

Annie Baracas will do whatever it takes to free herself from her spontaneous disaster marriage to Nate Reed.  Even if it means pretending to be a happily married couple in the public eye.  Easy, right?  Wrong!  Especially, since Annie has been in denial of her true feelings towards Nate for the past three years.

Nathan Reed knows the prefect way to seek revenge against his estranged wife and catch a notorious thief in the same process.  Nate knows that Annie wants a divorce and he will sign the paperwork if she agrees to his terms – temporarily resume the role as his wife and spy on her fellow poker players in order to eliminate a crook from his casino.  In the meanwhile, Nate will get to make Annie pay for leaving him three years ago without any explanation before he finally sets her free once and for all.

I found Back in Her Husband’s Bed to be a passable read that I believe could have been a bit more captivating.  I guess I wanted Nate’s revenge to be little harsher than it really was.  At first, I did not like Annie’s character; however, after her past was disclosed, I gained a better understanding of her behavior and started to like her.  On the flipside, I really enjoyed Nate as the hero.  His charming, dominant personality captured my attention from the start.  I just wished his retaliation plot towards Annie would have been more devilish.  I can admit that I was shockingly surprised by the identity of the poker tournament cheater.  I never suspected the villain until the revealing.  Nevertheless, the overall storyline was not bad and I did want to see how everything would pan out because I do love second chance romances.

Tarek al-Khalij has inherited the title of King—a title he had no wish to hold, and one that the warrior is ill equipped to handle.  He has lived his life as a sword, and he doesn’t really do emotions.  Tarek is blunt and to the point; he can’t fully handle the position of title on his own.

Pale innocent-looking Dowager Queen Olivia longs to be of some use to her in-laws’ family as she has nowhere to go.  Hating to be alone, she presents herself for a possible political alliance with Tarek.  She believes she can smooth the sharp edges of the weapon known as Tarek.  However, she never dreamed the hold that Tarek has on himself, let alone the past that shaped him into the warrior he has become.  Will these two unravel that which hinders them in their growth, or will they tear one another apart?

Maisey Yates has written a sizzling, chemistry-laden tale of romance that starts your pulse racing and your heart aching!

Bound to the Warrior King explores depths and character traits that all heroes should have ingrained within them.  Tarek was all that and that proverbial bag of chips!  I found myself slightly jealous of Olivia, even though I have to admit she was perfectly matched to the warrior.  Olivia was the only one that could temper him, and round Tarek as she did in Bound to the Warrior.

Tarek and Olivia both suffered from similar pasts, but in different ways.   Olivia had settled for so much less in her first marriage in order to keep that one piece safe, but with Tarek, she would open up more in Bound to the Warrior King.  She was willing to risk herself for him because of the way he looked at her in Bound to the Warrior King.

Tarek was a refreshing change from the everyday HP playboy who has become somewhat of a doorknob—everyone gets a turn! He has control of himself in Bound to the Warrior King, but Olivia tests his control, and he finds that being with her isn’t really a duty at all.  Olivia brings this warrior to his knees, and that is something to show the depth of this man’s emotions, emotions that he didn’t think he was capable of in Bound to the Warrior King.

I found Tarek and Olivia’s love story incredibly romantic, moving, and just plain fun to read, so I therefore Joyfully Recommend Bound to the Warrior King.
