Professional “student” Mercedes “Mercy” Starling runs out of money while studying in England.  So Mercy takes a job as a tutor, but when that falls through, she agrees to work in a medieval reenactment company, and the new owner of Bestwood Hall makes the summer job even more intriguing.

Introvert Alden Ainslie would like his own happily ever after, but he just can’t seem to dig up the courage to go on the hunt for the woman that would help him achieve his goal.  However, a matchmaker has decided to intervene and send someone down to Bestwood Hall while Alden is renovating the old Tudor.  Thrown into the days of old, Alden finds himself coming out of his shell, but suspicious activities might just prevent him from closing the deal.

Daring in a Blue Dress is a joyous romp of a love story filled with moments of laugh out loud scenes, witty dialogue, and tiny mysteries to give Mercy and Alden something to solve.  There were a few discrepancies that threw me a bit in Daring in a Blue Dress, but nothing to get overly worked up about, because the whole feel of the tale was lighthearted.  I did thoroughly enjoy Alden and Mercy’s first kiss though!  It was incredibly romantic in Daring in a Blue Dress.

Leo Byron is bored with his life. Looking for a more challenging female, he spots the social outcast Thalia Lennox across the room.  Despite the warning of his twin brother about the notorious divorcee, Leo sets out on his course to woo the tempting Lady.

Lady Thalia Lennox has been badly burned by the ton that she once belonged to.  Wanting only to maintain a spot on the fringes of polite society, Thalia does not relish the thought of getting into the thick of things with a playboy who is adamant in his pursuit of her.  However, as Leo continues to doggedly pursue Thalia, she soon finds herself enmeshed upon a new path, and the possibility of some things from the past coming to light may just give her and Leo the HEA they both deserve.

The Bedding Proposal is a charming historical tale that brought to light some of the difficulties women of that time faced.  I liked that Leo wasn’t put off by the scandal that followed Thalia around in The Bedding Proposal, and I found his pursuit of her rather endearing.  As is common in most romance novels, Leo didn’t start out with the best of intentions, but he ended up with more than he bargained for in The Bedding Proposal.  Despite the fact that things were tidied up rather nicely in The Bedding Proposal for Leo and Thalia, I still enjoyed their tale.

Sophie’s older sister has eloped for true love.  However, this presents a quandary for ever-positive Sophie: marry in haste or face a life alone with a damaged reputation.  Setting her sights on the man she thinks she can love, Sophie embarks upon her journey to HEA.

John “Evan” Fairfax, Earl of Evansleigh, has no idea that Sophie has matrimony plans for him.  He never intended to lead Sophie on, and issues in his family prevent him from promising a HEA to any woman let alone Sophie.  Soon one thing leads to another and despite his best intentions, it appears that they may have to give up their dreams of a HEA, unless fate can intervene.

The Earl I Adore was a nice entry into the romance genre.   Sophie and Evan were likable characters who took the time to actually spend some time together in The Earl I Adore.  However, I found the beginning quite tedious and couldn’t really get into the story.  Discovering Evan’s secret felt anticlimactic, but I was glad that things could work out for them.
