He scared me. He thrilled me. And after one touch, all I could think about was getting more... Makayla never thought she'd set foot in an elite mixed martial arts club. But if anyone needs a medic on hand, it's these guys. Then again, at her first sight of the club's owner, she's the one feeling breathless. The man they call Torment is all sleek muscle and restrained power. Whether it's in the ring or in the bedroom, he knows exactly when a soft touch is required and when to launch a full-on assault. He always knows just how far he can push. And he's about to tempt Makayla in ways she never imagined...

While giving her friend a helping hand, straight-laced Makayla ends up in more trouble than she can handle.  Makayla and her friend are taking money at the door of an illegal MMA tourney when she runs into a man determined to torment all her waking and dreaming hours.  Torment is a star fighter and uses his own gym for MMA tournaments.  He is caught off guard by the spunky beauty that runs into his club determined to track down a line jumper.  Once he gets her attention he is not letting her go.  Makayla doesn’t know how to handle this sexy fighter with the alpha attitude but she is willing to give it a try considering he makes her want to drool.  These two opposites are attracting but can they find love?

Sarah Castille’s Against the Ropes is a hard hitting romance with a hot couple and a dash of suspense.  Poor Makayla has a hysterical first meeting with Torment.  I could not stop laughing.  The humor is great but the sex appeal is even better.  Torment and Makayla definitely know how to heat things up fast!  I love Torment’s strong Alpha attitude.  He definitely has the, “you are my woman, I will take care of you” thing down pat.

His best gift this holiday is her. In the small town of Crystal Lake, Christmas is a time for sledding, hot chocolate, and cozying up to the fire. For Jake Edwards, it shouldn't be a time to give in to the feelings he's always had for Raine--especially since she's his brother's widow. No one annoys Raine quite like her brother-in-law does. But when Jake brings home a tall blond thing from the city who's bad news, Raine needs to stop him from making the biggest mistake of his life. Does Raine want this woman to leave Crystal Lake because she's all wrong for Jake? Or is it because she wants him for herself...?

It’s been a year and a half since Jesse Edwards died a hero’s death.  Since then those he loved have suffered greatly.  His twin brother, Jake, has finally come home to Crystal Lake to try and honor his brother and move on.  Unfortunately, keeping his brother’s promise to take care of his wife is more complicated than Jake ever imagined.

Raine Edwards is a shadow of her former self.  The death of her husband and the abandonment by Jake has left her alone and empty.  When Jake returns and turns away from her, anger and depression rule until hope—and a little holiday spirit— awaken the fighter inside her.

Will Jake and Raine find a happily-ever-after this Christmas?  Find out in the latest Bad Boys of Crystal Lake novel.

Juliana Stone has struck gold with The Christmas He Loved Her.  This story is one of the most powerful I’ve ever read.  The amount of emotion ranging from heartbreaking to heart aching, the highest of highs and the lowest of lows make this read an unforgettable experience.

Ms. Stone lays out the darkest of emotions and creates a story with a ‘real’ feel and takes her reader on a remarkable journey.  The characters are written with a deft unwavering pen.  Their hearts and souls laid out for all to see, giving us a couple to root for.

Jake and Raine have been dealt a rough hand.  They don’t know exactly how to deal with all the feelings they have and that is what makes this so special.  We get to go on this path with them.

Stone’s holiday romance will rip your heart out and put it back together in under 400 pages.  Prepare for heady emotions and the urge to hug all the people you love after enjoying The Christmas He Loved Her.

Delightful, steamy, and devilishly funny, join the hundreds of thousands of readers who already discovered that USA Today bestseller Terry Spear delivers a sizzle worth howling about. Praise for USA Today bestseller A SEAL in Wolf's Clothing:

Elaine Hawthorn travels back to Scotland, a place that holds bad memories, to claim what is rightfully hers.  She never expected an accident to change her life forever.  Cearnach MacNeill knows that he has met the beauty that ran him off the road from somewhere, if only he could remember.  Her smell drives him wild and he has the strongest urge to protect her which is exactly what he needs to do when danger begins stalking them.

Will Elaine and Cearnach find time to fall in love amid treasure hunts and attacks from the enemy?

Terry Spear’s A Highland Werewolf Wedding is sexy fun!  Elaine and Cearnach are perfect for each other; both are Alphas and act like it.  When they first meet it isn’t under the best of circumstances but it is impossible to miss the attraction between them—with each barb they exchange things get hotter.

The scenes between Cearnach’s mother and Elaine are great.  The MacNeill’s bring tons of light humor to the story.  It’s great to catch up with the family.  A Highland Werewolf Wedding will leave the reader blissfully satisfied.

Warning! This agent's secret identity-and his heart-have been compromised! Winslow, an elite spy in Regency England, has managed to keep his identity secret from everyone-including his beloved wife Elinor. But his success with these covert affairs has taken a toll on their marriage, leaving Elinor to entertain the idea of a secret liaison with a rakish spy. She believes she will finally have the danger and excitement her marriage has never afforded her-until things get too dangerous, and she ends up being kidnapped. In this world of intrigue, Elinor discovers that no one is who they seem to be-not even her own husband.

After fourteen years of marriage to Baron Winslow Keating, Lady Elinor has decided she is done with her boring life.  She wants intrigue, mystery, passion….love wouldn’t hurt, either!  But her absentee husband seems either unable or unwilling to provide it.  Elinor has begun a flirtation with another man who may just be able to give her what she secretly desires.

Baron Winslow “Winn” Keating has decided that he is done with his secretive spying ways after a tragedy has come into his life.  Longing for family, home, and hearth, he is forced into one final mission with the Barbican group when he discovers his wife’s straying ways!  Will Winn be able to reclaim his wife and resolve his latest mission, or will he be doomed to a lonely life with only his job for company?

True Spies was a fluffy, light, fun read that brought back memories of True Lies! There was even some bumbling moments that worked out well in the end.  My overall memory of True Spies is my complete dislike of Winn in the beginning.  Yes, he and Elinor had a MOC, but her main appeal for him was her affection for him in True Spies.  She is one of those hs that melt for the H when they just look at them, but Elinor gained a bit of fire in their fourteen year marriage.

Now that Elinor may be engaged elsewhere, and Winn is looking for some easily had affection from her, he sees her a little differently.  Winn cared so much more about himself in the beginning of True Spies and didn’t seem overly concerned with the lives of his family.  However, he now has to face some facts––it’s not always about you Winn!  He learns and grows through True Spies and is able to give Elinor what she is longing for in the end.

True Spies has eye rolling moments, but it truly seems to grab the flavor and pay homage to True Spies and, in the end, it was a delightfully light read!

Wait Until Dark by M. L. Buchman is a thrilling romantic adventure.  The world building by Buchman is amazing.  The reader feels pulled into the intensity of the story immediately.  Wait Until Dark is a bit of a slow build up but the payoff is amazing.  Connie and John make a smart action-packed couple.  It is easy to tell that Buchman knows his stuff.  The images he weaves throughout the novel give the reader a vivid picture of the danger, and the love story.  If you love military romance that leans a bit more toward military jargon than romance you will love Wait Until Dark.
