Since they were both named Sexiest Woman and Sexiest Man, Juliet and Felix weren’t happy about it, for different reasons of course! For Felix, he isn’t ready to show the world his life after an accident left him in a wheelchair. For Juliet, she’s tired of all of things that come with being a movie star and isn’t looking forward to this. But when Felix and Juliet meet, the sparks fly. However Felix hasn’t really accepted his new circumstances and Juilet is dealing with a stalker that always seems to know where to find her. Can they find their way around the obstacles to the wonderful and real relationship that seems to be waiting for them?

Jamie Howard is a new author for me and I liked the fact that the hero had to deal with such a life changing event. Add to that the silent presence of Juliet’s stalker and you have an interesting and fun read. While I have to admit that The Feeling of Forever did leave me wanting a bit more in way of storyline, I still enjoyed every minute of it. I’ll be looking for more stories from Jamie Howard’s Love Unplugged series!

BAD BITCH by Christina SaundersBad Bitch by Christina Saunders
Series: Bad Bitch #1

Bad Bitch is the first book in the Bad Bitch series and honestly I was just wowed. From looking over the blurbs in the Bad Bitch series the stories follow three brothers who are all attorneys from Louisiana. Do I have your interest yet because this series definitely came up on my radar from the beginning.

Evangeline aka Evan is a woman that you don’t want to cross nor mess with. She is a shark in the court room and has no problem eating you up and spitting you out when she is through. This also happens in the bedroom as well. She controls her sexuality, doesn’t mind speaking her mind and if you aren’t good in the bedroom Evan is throwing your ass out. Then she meets opposing counsel Lincoln Granade who is about to knock her off her feet in more ways than one.

Lincoln is in New York City to try Evan’s client instead of New Orleans where he resides. He has been after him for a long time and wants to know exactly what he knows, he just hopes Evan doesn’t get in his way. But the more time Lincoln spends with Evan the more he wants her and not just in the bedroom but on his side for this case. Except Evan isn’t giving in, but Lincoln will do whatever he has to to make her see that this is the right thing to do but with the case coming to a head will they team up or will it be a fight to the finish?

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like Evan at first but as Bad Bitch started to progress I couldn’t get enough of her. She comes off hard and standoffish but once she starts to open up herself to Lincoln the more I started to understand her and I began to like her more. Lincoln on the other hand I liked right away, he was dominant, sexy and had this protectiveness that made me wish I was his heroine.

Bad Bitch was hot and unique in a way that I found myself turning the pages rapidly. Christina Saunders might be a new author to me but I know I am already looking forward to not only reading more of this series but to all future books. In Bad Bitch we also learn more about the Granade brothers and what Lincoln did to mess up the relationship with his brother, but I hope to see them repair their relationship and can’t wait to see what Saunders has in store for them.

Heart of a Bad Boy is the third book in the Destiny series and I have to say this is the one I have been waiting for from the very beginning. Sugar Jamison was a new author to me when I started this series and if possible each book just got better and better and she put the King men on the map in the romance world. Of course each book in this series could be read as a standalone but the stories all end up taking place around the same time which really had me wanting to devour this series right away.

When they were younger in Destiny, Nevada the King boys were once considered trash. They were the sons of the town drunk and when their father finally left they went to live with their Aunt Lolly who raised them, while it wasn’t always easy she did her best to keep them out of trouble. Now years later they return to their hometown very successful men mainly for the purpose that their Aunt is in the hospital, but they have no idea that each of them are going to fall in love and have big choices to make while they are back.

When Levi King returns to Destiny his first stop is to see his childhood best friend, Shelly. She is the only one that ever kept in touch with gifts, letters, and phone calls and while they haven’t been face to face since Levi left town, other than his brothers and Lolly. she was the only constant thing in his life. Levi gets the shock of his life when he sees Shelly for the first time, for one he didn’t expect her to be such a knock out.

Shelly has always been Levi’s friend and in love with him for as long as she can remember, but she knows nothing will ever come from it, but the more time they spend together the more her feelings grow for Levi. It also helps that Levi has her trying new things and opening up, but in the end will Shelly be enough for Levi or will he leave her behind yet again?

I really loved Heart of a Bad Boy and thought this was the perfect title for this story. The characters had such a great friendship I wasn’t sure how their relationship would happen but it was done in such a slow manner that it was believable. I loved the reaction that Levi had when seeing Shelly for the first time, it was a typical male response yet he tried to hide it. At first Shelly came off a little on the prudish side but the more I read the more it was just lack of experience and I was glad Levi was the one to show her all things she was missing out on.

Heart of a Bad Boy
was cute, steamy and left me wanting more of the King Brothers. I am hoping this isn’t the last installment in the Destiny series because there were some secondary characters that caught my attention who deserve a HEA.

Finally Cujo and Drea! YES! Okay so if you read the first book, The Strongest Steel, you know Andrea “Drea” Caron and Brody “Cujo” Matthews tend to rub each other the wrong way. They both tend to get the wrong impression from one other which only made me want to read this book even more to find out what their story was and I am so glad that I did because it’s so good!

Drea has been taking care of her sick mother for years and has put her personal life on the back burner. Now that her best friend is engaged she is in charge of planning their engagement party but the only problem is that she has to plan it with Cujo. Drea knows that he’s going to be difficult but making it the perfect party is all that matters. But the more time she spends with Cujo the more she realizes how she might have misjudged him.

Cujo likes the simple life and Drea isn’t simple. He keeps his relationships to flight attendants and whenever they come in town they hook up. Now he has to work closely with the uptight Drea and when their attraction starts to burn they both might go down in flames.

I really did love these two; I thought they had great chemistry, funny banter and a special connection. At times I felt bad for Drea for all she was going through yet I found her strong and empowering for dealing with the hand she was dealt. Cujo had the whole man vs child thing going on but as the story began to develop more I saw him starting to grow as a person. Scarlett Cole did a great job at creating these two characters.

I really loved the dual povs which I thought just made the story even better. I couldn’t imagine it ever being written another way. The one thing that I would change if I could would be the amount of drama they both ended up facing. At times I felt it was one thing after another and that they would never get in front of what was coming so that they could be together.

The romance doesn’t happen right away and that was a huge plus. The Fractured Heart was an emotional yet thrilling read that I never wanted to end. I found the love scenes to have just the right emotions for when they were together. It wasn’t overly done and not too mushy.

We finally learn how Cujo got his nickname and I couldn’t help but laugh. It’s actually one of my favorite parts of the book. While there story is going on you get clues on whose story will be next and I actually can’t wait! Trust me The Fractured Heart is worth reading! Second Circle Tattoos is a new favorite series and I can’t wait to see where Ms. Cole will take these characters along the way.

Duke King was sent to prison years ago for attacking one of the town’s favorite sons while defending his girlfriend.  He never planned to return. After serving his sentence he’s gone on to build a successful business but finds himself forced to return to Destiny in order to care for his aunt. Grace Truman loved Duke but her family disapproved and her father, the judge did everything in his power to remove Duke from her life. But what her father or Duke never knew was that Grace was pregnant when he was sent away. How could she know that all her letters to Duke would be intercepted and he would never find out she was expecting his child? That child is now a boy with a chip on his shoulder and when Duke finds out about him, he’s determined to have a role in his son’s life. But he can’t decide if wants a role in Grace’s life, even if he still has feelings for her.

I’ve never read Sugar Jamison before and I’m so excited I’ve found a new author to devour! Betting the Bad Boy was hit! I fell in love with both Duke and Grace and wanted them to find the love that was stolen from them. I could totally understand Duke’s feelings toward Destiny along with Grace’s complicated relationship with her father. I will be keeping my eyes out for more books in the The Bad Boys of Destiny series!
