Working on a tip that an underground BDSM club is abusing their submissives, Detective Hunter Simms decides to volunteer for the assignment.  Snagging an invitation the Dom quickly realizes there’s no truth to the rumor.  What he does discover however floors the detective.

Never in a million years would Hunter have suspected that SWAT superstar sniper Keifer Magnessen is a hardcore submissive.  Apparently letting himself give up all power in a scene is the only way Keifer can relax.

From the moment Hunter sees Keifer kneeling in the corner bound, plugged and gagged the Dom knows he’s finally found the sub of his dreams.  Convincing the sniper that Hunter is Dom enough to give Keifer exactly what he needs will take considerable skill.  Good thing Hunter always gets what he wants.

Special Teams burns bright with sensual pleasure.  Consenting adults show their true colors and practice intense erotic play.  Hunter and Keifer enjoy an orgasmic give and take BDSM game within the pages of Special Teams.  Book one in the Underground series starts with an inventive, surprisingly emotional plotline, engaging characters and expanding sexual encounters by the chapter. Fan recommended.

There were moments of happiness in Simon Murphy’s childhood. His mother loved him and big brother Ian tried to protect him during the bad times.  When your father is Benjamin Murphy, the King of Chicago’s underworld, it’s kind of hard to have a truly happy life.  By the time Simon is sixteen his mother is dead and Ian is in prison for a double murder.  Young Murphy has become quite the capable jewel thief who does his best to steer clear of daddy dearest and his whip.

Rarely caught for his illegal activities Simon is nonetheless harassed on a regular basis by FBI Agent Gabriel Sheppard.  The agent has a real hard on to arrest Murphy senior in the worst way.  Between an extremely dysfunctional family and Gabriel’s incessant presence Simon’s stress levels are through the roof which makes the severe narcolepsy he suffers from much worse.

A handful of years pass…and shockingly Simon Murphy, thief and son of a crime kingpin is employed by Chicago’s Night Shift the Special Division, a branch of the department dealing with crimes related to the supernatural world.  And, it turns out Simon’s narcolepsy is a gift.  He’s learned to harness his talent, to see the aura’s of people both human and other.  Funny how life turns out.

Fresh. Witty and totally entertaining.  Sleeping on the Job skillfully blends an imaginative plotline with realistic characters and mayhem ensues.  Though fast pacing makes the opening slightly confusing everything clears quickly and the story confidently moves on.  Simon tells his tale by flipping between memories of his youth and the present which actually works well.  Smart, humorous dialogue adds another feisty level to the storyline.  Sleeping on the Job will no doubt send readers digging for previous books in this series to enjoy as well.  Simon is a non apologetic, troubled smart ass who still manages to charm.
