A Birds of Prey five man warrior team is dispatched to Atlanta by their benefactor the goddess Athena to battle with the Blood Demons, spawn of the Keres death spirits who seem to be gaining in numbers.

Patrolling at the nearby college campus one night the teams second in command, Hawk comes across a student fighting for his life against a Blood Demon.  Badly injured in the fight Aaron expects to be taken to the hospital by the stranger who saves him, yet once Hawk spies the birthmark on Aaron’s chest and feels so inexplicably drawn to him all bets are off.

It is Athena who has insured that her Bird of Prey receive a true mate at some point in their long lives.  Finding Aaron is only the beginning they are told.  Their mates are both a reward and a reason to continue the fight.  And now they have learned that each mate will bear the symbol of Athena as a birthmark.  Of course, explaining this to Aaron and hopefully getting him to accept Hawk will take some fast talking.  Better get started.

Authors Jackie Nacht and Stephani Hecht breathe life into an original new Birds of Prey series where mankind is protected by immortal warriors of Athena.  Hawk’s courtship begins with blood and guts and ends with loving Aaron.  A somewhat dark plotline with fearsome enemies, Saved by the Hawk is a refreshing beginning.  Featuring life and death encounters and intense characters this is one edgy drama.

Eyes opened to a world where Birds of Prey battle Blood Demons to protect humanity, college student David is trying to adjust and accept that it’s all too real.  It should be easier, it could be easier to cope with if only his true mate Night acknowledged their bond.  Devastated when Night rejects him David secretly takes off with an old friend.

Night has always understood his purpose in life.  As one of the goddess Athena’s first warriors Night has raised and trained many of the Birds of Prey.  He believed that it was his destiny to be alone forever, at least he thought so until he met David.  He fears accepting David because bonding with the human will make him a target and if something happened to the flighty student Night would never recover.  Breaking David’s heart to protect him is the responsible thing to do, right?

The drama and danger continues in Running After David, the second book in the Birds of Prey series.  A darker, gritty paranormal romantic tale brings together a stoic leader and a smart aleck student.  Night is trained to handle Blood Demons, not a human mate which gives readers entertaining byplay between the warriors and their true mates.  Slightly light on plotline, Running After David is nonetheless an enjoyable story whose characters make their case and make the book worth reading.

The Birds of Prey are tasked with stopping the Keres female spirits death-army, the Blood Demons from slaughtering the human race.  One such team is sent to guard Atlanta by the goddess Athena.

Ever since Wren met Sebastian he’s been drawn to the young man.  Wren would like nothing more than to embrace his mate whole heartedly.  But he can tell that Sebastian is holding back, something is keeping his mate from accepting his destiny alongside Wren.  Sebastian wonders if Wren will want him if he knew the truth of his origins.  It’s only a matter of time before Wren finds out.  It may mean the difference in the war against the Blood Demons.  Without help from the gods they are doomed.

Warming Up Sebastian neatly balances a deadly threat with a high octane romance.  Sebastian and Wren wade through a war with integrity and grit.  Hot sex and a real fear of failure make for a challenging drama in Warming Up Sebastian.  The Birds of Prey series is a dark love story and needs to be read in order to be appreciated.

Without significant aid the Birds of Prey in Atlanta won’t survive the onslaught of the Blood Demons.  They are multiplying too quickly.  The goddess Athena has admitted that some major cities have already fallen, the warriors have perished alongside the humans they were trying to protect.

Wren’s mate Sebastian, a demi-god, enlists the help of his foster brother Fallon, son of the god Hades and the goddess Persephone.  Hades has an army of dead soldiers he may call upon in times of war.  Their numbers might just turn the tide if he agrees to leave the Underworld and help them.

Fallon’s introduction to the Birds of Prey and their mates goes well.  Too well perhaps because the moment he lays eyes on Raven the young god is completely smitten.  Even though the god does not bear a mating mark he insists they are meant to be together and nothing will sway him.  Protecting Raven at all costs becomes Fallon’s priority. But after training and fighting for so many years how will Raven react to being left behind when the fighting begins in earnest?

As the body count rises tensions flare between lovers in a unique drama.   The fourth installment in the Birds of Prey series draws deadly battle lines in Fallon’s Raven.  As gods go, Fallon is honest and forthright.  His only weak spot is his feelings for Raven even though they aren’t destined mates. Against the backdrop of impending war their complicated love story plays out.  Fallon’s Raven focuses on a complicated romance as war approaches.  This series needs to be read in order of appearance.
