Soul Song is another excellent Dirk & Steele novel from Marjorie M. Liu! I’m amazed at Ms. Liu’s ability to keep this series fresh and captivating. Each new novel adds cool characters, sinister villains and hot locales to the thrilling series. I got wrapped up into M’Cal and Kit’s story. Both characters are unique and interesting, easy to root for. The passion between them is scorching. I really thought M’Cal’s character evolved nicely throughout the story. He’s so unhappy and negative at the beginning but as the story unfolds so do the layers of his personality. Kit is the perfect woman for M’Cal. I love their intense interactions in Soul Song. Whether its danger, conversation or intimate moments these two characters shine brightly together.
