Oliver Lansing survived a horrific car accident, his lover wasn’t as lucky.  Trapped in the car Oliver watched as George died right before his eyes.  Months later Oliver is as healed as he’s going to be with a bad limp and paralyzing memories that haunt him.  On top of that Oliver is buried under a mountain of hospital bills.  His weakened body and lack of college degree give him little opportunity of finding a decent job.

Retiring from his life as a porn star Lane manages to get a loan to start his own business.  Understanding there’s good money to be made in porn because of his past experience Lane opens a phone sex and online operation.

Agreeing to give Oliver a job on the phone lines it quickly becomes apparent that he’s in over his head.  Lane wants to help Oliver earn a living while at the same time he’d love to begin something outside of work.  It’s a difficult balance because Oliver refuses a pity job yet he too would like to know Lane better. At least neither man is a quitter.

Romance finds a broken man and leads him to another looking for redemption in Oliver’s Online.  Emotionally and physically damaged, Oliver manages to find love in the arms of a man who considers his own soul too tarnished to accept.  This character study works well as a whole, however it does feel like more than one person is creating the story.  Having said that, the plotline and the character resolution checks all the boxes.  Oliver finds the happiness he deserves and in the end, that’s what matters.

Roommates Patrick Martin, Ronnie, and Oliver are sinking fast under a sea of medical bills incurred by Oliver.  Their appointed leader is Patrick who loses the best of his three part time jobs through no fault of his own.  At his wit’s end Patrick endures an open audition at a porn studio as a last resort.  He’s mortified to be let go almost immediately unaware that Vance Cullian, the owner took one look and knew he couldn’t share him with the world.

Meeting Vance gives Patrick hope for a relationship and a new job as an assistant at the studio.  A decent paycheck and a lover who cares is more than Patrick thought possible.  If not for the ugly attitude of the studio’s director Patrick would believe that everything’s right with the world.  Unfortunately one man’s jealousy could ruin everything.

A clever blend of sweet and sexy.  Patrick’s Plight takes a ‘light’ peek at the wild world of porn.  The character driven plotline showcases Patrick’s relationship with his best friends and his feelings for Vance.  While the overall story works it’s somewhat difficult to accept Vance’s actions.  He’s a successful businessman with a porn studio and he’s so very, very nice. It stretches plausibility somewhat.  Patrick’s Plight features agreeable characters within an easy, breezy plot, and a definite villain.
